Danse Macabre - PreludeThe last rays of sun fell through my window and made odd shapes on the wall. The hottest summer in a decade was coming to an end, and left behind the smell of dried grass and molten macadam. Or it would have, at home. Here in the city, the scent of molten macadam definitely overwrote that of the scarce dried grass in the front yards of some persistent idealists.
